Check In Requirements

At the time of check-in, the guest on record must be at least 21 years old and must present a valid credit card. This card will be pre-authorized for a security deposit and incidentals at a rate of $150 per room, per night. Please be aware that this authorization may remain on the card for up to seven days following the guest’s departure.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to arrival, 16:00 local time without penalty. Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will be charged one night room and tax. Pre-paid or advance purchase reservations are non-refundable/non-cancellable.

Guarantee Policy

A credit card must be used at the time of booking in order to guarantee reservation.

Kids Eat Free* for Registered Guests Only.

We are pleased to offer complimentary breakfast for up to 2 children per room aged 12 years and under with purchase of breakfast for 2 adults.

*Kids Eat Free offer is not available for in room dining or when part of a group of 8 or more rooms, travel industry rates, corporate rates, or other discounted rates.

Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Parking Information

Valet Parking:
Charges for valet parking are as follows: USD $70 per day for a sedan and USD $80 per day for an SUV. Please note, there are no in-and-out privileges.

Pet Policy

Sofitel New York is a pet friendly hotel. Guests are limited to one (1) dog per guest room with a maximum weight of 30 lbs/15 kgs.  Our pet fee is $150 per stay and will be charged at time of check-in.

All pets must be leashed or carried while in public places of the hotel. Per local health code regulations, pets are not permitted in any public area where food service is offered, such as the restaurant or the lounge (service dogs are welcome).

Urban Experience Fee

All rooms are subject to a nightly $35 + tax Urban Experience Fee which includes:

Package Delivery & Storage

Sofitel New York may accept packages and parcels on behalf of the guest as long as the Guest name matches the name on their reservation. The Resident Fee covers complimentary acceptance and storage of one (1) package within 48 hours of arrival.  Additional packages will be charged $10 per piece.  A storage fee of $10 per piece, per night, will be assessed for packages received prior to 48 hours of arrival.

Smoking Fee

Sofitel New York is a 100% Smoke-Free property.  Smoking is strictly forbidden in hotel rooms, hallways, and all public areas.  A deep cleaning fee of $500 per night (plus tax) will be assessed for any violation of this policy. Hotel reserves the right to increase fee based on assessed damages.
